Paper Quilts
I did these paper quilt collages a few weeks back. I started cutting up a map of California a few months ago and I still have a lot of pieces left. I think I will do more of these. I think for now I just need to do something, just so I can think about what I really want to do. These are perfect for thinking. I am really just frustrated with my lack of production. Now that I have a more permanent studio I can hopefully get in the groove. However, it will take a lot of self-dicipline that I seem to lack. I also do not feel as passionate about my work anymore. Maybe I should just stop. However I think I am too hard on myself about my work. It looks crafty, homemade, and girly. Oh well. Maybe I will just like it and never show it.

Long overdue
Unfortunately or Fortunately, however u see it, I am still working on this painting. It has been six months maybe longer. I cannot decide if it is even worth it anymore. The background was intended to be white but due to a leak in my studio roof I then had to cover up a big brown stain. This is a map of my birthplace, Livermore, CA. During my frustrations I also made the below doodle.
